Over the years, Rolling Stone magazine has brought something wonderful to our attention. No, I'm not talking about numerous photographs of Madonna in various states of undress. I'm talking about the artwork of Philip Burke.

For years most issues of Rolling Stone featured one of Burke's celebrity caricatures on the table of contents page. The banner above is from the 1990 Yearbook (RS593/594, double issue). Depending on your opinion, he has either immortalized or lampooned hundreds of people.

I am in no way associated with Rolling Stone or Philip Burke. I don't pretend to be an expert on art in general, or Burke in particular. I just like like his work. I wanted to share it with you.

I hope you enjoy the gallery, and please send me your comments.

New! The Philip Burke Forum is now online. The forum is a place for anyone to discuss Philip's work or to find buyers, sellers and traders for prints, originals and anything else Burke-related.

People will occasionally ask me where one might buy books of Philip's work. Finally, I can say here is where one might buy such a book.
