I think maybe The Winged Pig really is feeling robbed for not winning the tossed salad haiku contest. In the comments for my previous post, he suggested an MS Paint-Off where the winners would graphically depict their haiku.
I was a little cool to the idea at first. It seemed too blatant a rip off of The Hot Librarian. But I guess if you steal from one person, you're plagiarizing. But if you steal from everyone, you're blogging. So I somewhat tepidly asked if anyone was interested. Blog Kris is all over the idea. And TWP has already submitted his entry. So… I guess we're having another contest.
For those of you not familiar with the idea of a MS Paint-Off, you should visit THL's The First Annual MS-Paint Ugly-Off 2005. You may also want to check out THL's newest post, featuring fan art by none other than TWP. You should probably be reading THL all the time, anyway. That girl's crazy funny.
So here are the rules. Anyone may submit one drawing. That's ONE drawing, Blog Kris. The drawing must depict the events of one of the haiku submitted in the haiku contest. You may choose any haiku, even if it was written by someone else. Drawings must be created with MS Paint, or if you use a different graphics program, you may only use the tools that would be available in MS Paint. You may cut and paste small portions of actual photographs into your drawing, e.g., pasting Ann Coulter's head on to a stick figure body. But your drawing must be predominantly drawn, not cut and pasted. The contest will remain open for three days. All entries will be posted at the end of the contest, and the winner will be announced the following day. Or shortly thereafter. Or whenever I get around to it. The contest will be judged by me, Mark, and Sister. E-mail your entries to me.
The prize given to the winner will be one post to this blog, on any subject. Pictures may be included in the winner's post. The winning post may not include anything that would get my Blogger account canceled, but other than that, the sky's the limit.
