Cartoon of the week

I might have mentioned it before, but just in case I haven't, I absolutely love those one-panel editorial cartoons you find printed in newspapers. I think those artists are brilliant. With just one panel they can make us laugh, make us cry, or sometimes just make us think.

I've decided I'm going to start posting a favorite cartoon once a week. Future cartoons will probably be posted closer to the end of each week.

The coolest cartoon in history

Mind you, I didn't say this is the funniest cartoon in history. That would probably require nude women and talking animals.

This is my favorite cartoon of all time. I actually like it so much that I gave a framed copy as a gift. It's a constant reminder to me that perfect security and perfect freedom are mutually exclusive ideas. Whenever you add to one, you automatically take from the other.
