Anonymouser 2.0.1 - Whenever a user leaves a comment without filling out the "name" field in the comment form, the default WordPress behavior is to display the comment author name as "Anonymous." This plugin tweaks that behavior and instead directs WP to display the comment author name as "Anonymouse" or any other term of the blog administrator's choice.
That's it. That's all it does. It's probably the simplest plugin ever.
Anonymouser makes no permanent changes to the comments it modifies. Disabling the plugin will cause all anonymous comments to return to their normal state.

Change log:
-
v2.0.1 - Released 2006-12-20. Wrapped
add_optioncalls in an installation routine, which should increase plugin efficiency. It wasn't especially inefficient before, but still… faster is better. -
v2.0 - Released 2006-10-31. Added an option page to make the "mouse word" user-definable.
-
v1.0.1 - Released 2006-10-13. Changed plugin and author urls to remove "www."
-
v1.0 - Released 2006-09-08. Initial release.
To do:
-
Add a configuration panel to allow users to replace "Anonymouse" with a word of their choosing. Users may customize the current version 1.0/1.0.1 to achieve this same effect, but only by directly editing the plugin. -
No updates are planned, but I'm open to suggestions.
